When a teen comes to the desk to ask for a computer guest pass, the first question to ask is, "Do you have a library card?" Often they do and don't even realize it. Even if they are not sure or don't know, look up their info. You may find that you get 6th graders who have not updated their cards to teen cards. If that is the case, tell them to go to the circ desk to get an updated card. If they do not have a card, new to the community etc...then issue a guest pass to be used on YA computers. If there is not an available YA computer then they may log on to an Adult computer. Remind them to tell their parent to come in with the necessary identification to get a library card.
